Brief background to FC Brick Lane
FC Brick Lane was formed in February 2006 as part of the BLYDA project. Based in Spitalfields the club aims to help encourage young people to adopt an active lifestyle. The club started as a 5’a side team playing in local tournaments and friendly matches. In the summer of 2006 a full 11’a side was developed and entered its first league campaign. Finishing 3rd in the BFA Summer League Division 2 the popularity of the club grew with a huge increase of membership.
Winter 20006/07 saw FC Brick Lane win its first silverware competing in the London Tigers Winter League. The club also reached the finals of the league cup which was played at Stamford Bridge home of Chelsea FC.
FC Brick Lane is currently working with the most hard to reach young people between the ages of 11-25. The club endeavours to help young people to believe, respect and value each other whilst enabling themselves to grow as individuals within their community.
Notify the league secretary of any updates as soon as possible. Changes to the club contacts or kit colours must be notified immediately.
