6.      The chair announced the resignation of the Referees Secretary (Abdul Hakim) and due to busy work schedules the voluntary demotion of the Fines & Results Secretary (Colin Reeves) and Treasurer (Akmol Khan) to Executive Committee Members only.

It was also explained that the Vice Chair position had been vacant for the whole season and that due to improving processes the secretarial workload had increased tremendously. Due to these reasons a new position for an Assistant Secretary should be created.

The following nominations were then presented for the re-structured committee with the posts for Char, General Secretary and Player Registration Secretary remaining unchanged:-

Vice Chair Afazul Hoque Currently Press Officer
Treasurer Mahbub Ali Currently Fixtures Secretary
Assistant Secretary Hassan Khan Aldgate Club East
Fines & Results Secretary Khairul Islam
Referees Secretary Asik Miah Ensign

All nominations were accepted without any objections. However, this still left the positions for the Fixtures Secretary and Press Officer vacant.

7.        The General Secretary discussed the Constitutional changes that were announced and explained the reasons for the changes. Particular emphasis was given on the new requirement for all teams to provide corner posts at all home fixtures and the penalty of £20.00 for failing to do so. No objections were received for any of the changes.

8.        The change of name for the League from “Inner London Amateur Football League” to simply “Inner London Football League” was announced and along with it the change of web site from ilafl.co.uk to ilfl.org.

9.      The Player Registration Secretary re-iterated the closing date for the first 16 player registrations as 30 July 2006. He also explained the processes for registering players as clearly outlined in the league web site and on the player registration forms.

10.    Fixtures will be announced when they are confirmed by Tower Hamlets Council. It was also noted that Tower Hamlets policy is to provide only 80-85% of requests and if that is the case the remainder of the fixtures will have to be at Hackney Marshes.

11.   The Chair explained that to improve the Refereeing, a lot of the existing Referees will be replaced this season. The proper Match Day procedures (available from the web site) were also explained with particular emphasis on the need to submit the completed match report to the Referee before the game begins. All Referees will also be explained the proper procedures in an effort to improve the general Refereeing and player discipline.

12.   The General Secretary explained the urgency for the LFA Numbers to be submitted by 15 August 2006 ad the consequences for failing (£100.00 fine). Other information requested include, Kit colours for home and away, squad photo and club profile for the purpose of the league web site.
